Optimal mixing and supply minimise polymer consumption and maximise sludge flocculation
Polymer installations from Stjernholm are very simple but they are highly reliable and extremely effective when it comes to automatic mixing and supply of polymer for sludge presses and decanters.
The installation consists of two basins placed above each other. In the top basin, the polymer is mixed according to the wanted mixture proportion. Supply of water and polymer is regulated by level sensors and a small agitator ensures a smooth mixture which is then led to the storage tank.
The mixture matures in the storage tank and from here the finished mixture is led to the place of utilisation which is regulated in terms of rotations, frequency or time.
Stjernholm polymer installations are delivered as complete units of two different sizes.

STJERNHOLM POLYMER INSTALLATIONS
ECONOMY
Lower polymer consumption – typically 10-15%
Service life of 15-20 years
Lifts the dry matter
ENVIRONMENT
A lower polymer consumption level reduces the use of chemicals and minimises the environmental impacts
Better mixing and dosing of polymer leads to a higher-level dry matter = less sludge transport
CSR
Service-friendliness and operational reliability contribute to minimising the strain on operational staff
